The instructional trail Veselské Pískovny (Veselí Sand Pits) leads through the area of the former sand pit among the town Veselí nad Lužnicí and the villages Horusice and Vlkov, in the Protected Landscape Area Třeboňsko.

The main aim of the trail is to acquaint visitors with fauna and flora, geological conditions, and history of sand mining in this area.

The 7 km long circular trail passes 5 lakes (Veselí, Veselí I, Horusice, Horusice I, Vlkovská Pískovna - "Vlkov Sand Pit") - former sand pits mined between 1950 - 1990, now flooded.
There are 14 informative boards along the trail. The point of departure with the first board is situated on the southern border of Veselí nad Lužnicí (between lakes Vlkovská Pískovna and Veselí).
The access to this point is possible along the road from Veselí nad Lužnicí in the direction of the settlements Hamry and Val, then turning-off to the right in the small settlement near grade crossing.
The way leads along the border of the nature reserve Vlkovský Přesyp (Vlkov Sand Dune) near the village Vlkov.
