The protected area Chalupská Slať (Crip Fen) is situated in the area between the villages Borová Lada and Nový Svět about 13 km south-west of the town Vimperk. The short nature trail leads there.
The large peat-bog is eroded by the former peat mining. It is protected due to the original vegetation of peat-bogs. The bog-lake, which is counted among the largest lakes of this type (1.3 ha), can be seen in the reserve.
In 1974 the nature trail was founded in the reserve. It is about 250 m long. It leads mostly on the duckboard and it ends on the platform above the bog-lake.
The entrance to the peat-bog and the starting point of the nature trail can be found on the field path running from the parking-lot, which is situated behind the village Borová Lada in the direction of the small village Kvilda (about 200 m). The red and green marked trails from the settlement Kubova Huť (about 11 km) or the blue and green ones lead there from the village Horní Vltavice (also about 11 km).
