The cyclist instructional trail Řemeslo Na Řece (Craftsmen on the River) has two parts - Czech and Austrian. It leads in the area between the town Kaplice and the settlement Cetviny, along the Czech-Austrian border. It partly goes along the Malše river.
The trail is dedicated to acquaint visitors with the history of mills and iron-mills in this region and with the life and work of millers. The other aim is acquainting with the nature, cultural, and historical interests in the countryside along the Malše river.
The point of departure is in Kaplice near the parking-lot in the park. The target point of the Czech part is in Cetviny - this part is about 24 km long and there are 6 informative boards along the path.
The second, Austrian part, is about 26 km long. Reconstructed old mills can be seen on this path leading along the Feldaist river. The museum in the small town Rainbach, a part of horse-drawn railway, and the Gothic St. Michael's Church in Grünbach can be seen there as well.
Interesting places on the trail:
Velíšek's Mill - one of the original mills with original equipment
U Svatého Kamene - the pilgrimage Baroque Church of Our Lady of Snow
Tichá - remainders of the fortress near the town Dolní Dvořiště
