The ruins of the Tichá fortress can be found in the village of the same name about 5 km south-east of the small town Dolní Dvořiště.
The fortress belonged to the castle town Velešín from 1360 and then (from 1387 till 1611) to the Rožmberk family . At the turn of the 18th century the fortress was burnt down several times. It was restored every time and in 1789 it was rebuilt into a brewery. The brewery was disestablished in the middle of the 19th century.
Only 12 m high remainder of the square-shaped tower has been preserved up till present. The big gap above the ground is the original entrance to the keep.
