The small village Světlík lies about 9 km north-east of the villageFrymburk and about 15 km south-west of the town Český Krumlov, 776 m a.s.l.
The village is first mentioned in 1258 when it was under the ownership of the monastery in Schlägl (Austria). Later it became a property of Český Krumlov. Due to a distance from important trade routes the village had little population and in the second half of the 20th century only about 380 people lived there.
The most important sight in the village is the originally Romanesque St. James' Church. It was founded in the first half of the 13th century. In the 15th century it was reconstructed in the Gothic style and between 1872 – 1874 it was modified in the Neo-Romanesque style. The Baroque rectory from the 17th century stands near the church.
The ruins of the fortress Pasovary can be found about 3 km north-east of Světlík.
