Strážiště hill (744 m) is the highest peak of the Pacovská Pahorkatina (Pacov Hillycountry), which is a part of the Českomoravská Vrchovina (Czech-Moravian Uplands). It lies about 7 km north of the town Pacov.
The hill is a distinct feature of the whole region. Below its top there is the Chapel of the Virgin, which was a famous pilgrimage place in past. It stands near the spring of mineral water. The observation tower with a nice view of the surroundings stands near the peak as well.
Silver was mined at the foot of the hill and glassworks stood here in the settlement called V Hutích ("In Glassworks").
The green marked tourist path leads to the peak from Pacov (about 8 km) or from the village Lukavec (about 4 km). The road Pacov - Lukavec runs about 1 km below the top and the forest path leads from this place to the peak.
