The protected area called Čertova Stráň (Devil's Slope - 20 ha) lies about 3 km east of the small village Včelná pod Boubínem (about 10 km west of the town Prachatice) in the narrow valley of the Boubínský Potok (Boubín Stream). In the reserve there is a protected primeval fir and spruce forest. The nice valley of the Cikánský Potok (Gypsy Stream) with remains of gold-washing - placers - can be found near the reserve not far from the small village Chlístov - there is a protected old lime tree, which is counted among 10 thickest trees in Bohemia. The legend says, that Master John Huss preached here.
The village Chlístov can be found on the green marked path, which leads from the town Prachatice (about 10 km). The road from Prachatice to the village Záblatí with a turn-off in the small village Kratušín runs there too.
The green sign leads from Chlístov to the settlement Trpín and then the unmarked field path leads to the valley of the Cikánský Potok (Gypsy Stream). The border of the nature reserve Čertova Stráň is behind the stream near the so-called Dobišův Mlýn mill. The return way is possible along the stream to the confluence with the Blanice river and then along the road through Kratušín back to Chlístov.
