Přilba mountain (1,219 m) lies about 14 km west of the town Vimperk near road between the villages Zdíkov and Kvilda.
The peat-bog Mezilesní Slať (Mezilesní Fen) is located on the western slope and the interesting bizarre rocky massifs can be seen on the hillsides as well.
The small Studený Potok (Cold Stream) flows at the foot of the mountain. Several small schoolchildren died in its valley during the snow storm in the 19th century. This event became a topic of the story Bílý Samum (White Simoom) by Karel Klostermann.
Several ski-slopes with lifts can be found on the slopes and some trails for cross-country skiing leads there as well.
The green marked path from the parking-lot, which lies near the road Zdíkov - Kvilda about 5 km ahead of Kvilda, leads to the peak (about 2 km). The blue sign leading from Kvilda (about 8 km) goes on the slopes of the mountain.
