Pancíř mountain (1,214 m) is one of three peaks which are joined with the sierra trail (red sign), which leads from the village Špičák across the peaks of the mountains Pancíř, Můstek and Prenet. It lies about 6 km north-east of the town Železná Ruda in the western part of the Šumava mountains (Bohemian Forest).
The mountain is a spring area of three rivers and it forms the European watershed: the Úhlava and the Křemelná rivers run to the North Sea and the Řezná river (Regen) runs into the Danube river, which flows into the Black Sea.
On the top of the mountain there is a observation tower with nice views of Černé Jezero (Black Lake) and Čertovo Jezero (Devil's Lake) and of the Šumava mountains (Boubín and Bobík mountains, etc.).
On the slopes of the mountain there are several ski-lifts and trails.
The chair-lift runs to the top from the parking-lot in the village Špičák. Access is also possible from the parking-lot along the red marked path (about 5 km), which continues across the peaks of the mountains Můstek and Prenet, or along the blue marked one from Železná Ruda (about 8 km).
