The wetland Novořecké Močály (New River Swampland) is protected in the nature reserve of the same name. It lies along the Nová Řeka canal (New River) 6 km east of the town Třeboň.

The large area (236 ha) with a unique ecosystem and rare water vegetation is protected here.

The red marked tourist path leads through the reserve along the Nová Řeka canal between the small towns Stráž nad Nežárkou and Chlum u Třeboně. It is possible to connect this path on the way from Třeboň along the red sign (about 10 km) or along the yellow one (about 8 km) or on the way from the parking-lot in the locality called "U Soukupů" (about 8 km far from Třeboň near the road in the direction of the small town Suchdol nad Lužnicí) along the green sign (about 1 km).
