The Velká Niva peat-bog (Big Floodplain) lies in the area between the town Volary and the village Lenora on the border of the National Park Šumava (Bohemian Forest).
The nature reserve was founded for the protection of the original vegetation; longleaf pine and white birch are frequent here.
The natuere reserve lies near Lenora on the left side of the road in the direction of Volary. It is not open to the public.
