Velký Mehelník hill (Big Mehelník - 633 m) lies about 5.5 km south-east of the town Písek.
Below the top there is the boulder called Loupežnický Stůl (Rogues' Table). The legend says, that it was the prehistoric iconic place and bowls in the stone were used for sacrifices.
On the slopes there are a lot of other rock formations as well and an original mixed beech and fir forest.
The circular green marked trail leads from Písek to the peak.
