Vysoký Kamýk hill (High Kamýk - 627 m) lies about 15 km south-east of the town Písek and 3 km south of the village Albrechtice nad Vltavou.
It is the second highest peak of the Písecké Hory (Písek Mountains). The mixed and beechen forests grow on the slopes and on the top. Most of the area of the hill and of the near Malý Kamýk hill (Small Kamýk) is protected in the reserve called Velký a Malý Kamýk (Big and Small Kamýk).
The observation tower was built on the top of Vysoký Kamýk hill in 1941, but it is not open to the public.
The top of the hill is accessible along the green marked path, which leads from Albrechtice nad Vltavou (about 6 km) or from the small village Všeteč (about 2.5 km), or along the blue sign from the town Týn nad Vltavou (16 km) or along the yellow one from the town Protivín (12 km).
