Kamenec mountain (1,072 m) is the highest peak of the Czech part of the Novohradské Hory (Nové Hrady Mountains). It lies near the Czech-Austrian border about 15 km south of the small town Benešov nad Černou.

The large peat-bog, known as Pohořské Slatě (Pohoří Fens), is situated at the eastern foot of the mountain.

There are no marked tourist trails on the mountain.
