The large peat-bog Jezerní Slať (Lake Fen - 103 ha) lies on the boundary between South Bohemia and West Bohemia and borderline between river basins of the Vltava and Otava rivers in the surroundings of the small village Kvilda.
The average thickness of peat layer is between 2 - 3 m, the maximal thickness is 7.5 m.
The vegetation and some animals are protected here.
The observation tower, which offers a nice view of the peat-bog, was built near the entrance.
The entryway to the protected area is possible along the short instructional trail, which leads from the small parking-lot on the left side of the road Kvilda - Horská Kvilda.
