The Moravská Dyje river (Moravian Dyje) springs about 4 km south-east of the small town Třešť at the altitude 635 m a.s.l. It heads to the south, runs by Telč, through the town Dačice and crosses the Czech-Austrian border. It joins the Dyje river in Austria.
The Moravská Dyje is 68 km long and its river basin covers an area 630 square km.
