The small river Dračice springs in Austria. It runs along the Czech-Austrian border and it empties into the Lužnice river near the small town Suchdol nad Lužnicí.
The river flows through the wooded area along the state border, which was not open to the public in the second half of the 20th century. The romantic untouched valley and the wild river are proposed to be protected.
The valley is accessible along the red marked path, which leads from the town České Velenice to the small town Chlum u Třeboně. The trail runs through the valley in the part between the small village Františkov (about 3 km east of Suchdol nad Lužnicí) and the bridge over the Dračice river, below Kolíbačný Kopec hill. The road also leads along the river in this part. The upper reaches of the river are already protected and they are not marked with tourist signs.
