The rock formation Čertovo Břemeno (Devil's Weight - 715 m) lies in the surroundings of the highest peak of the Středočeská Pahorkatina (Middle Czech Hillycountry) - Javorová Skála hill (Maple Rock) - about 6 km north of the small town Jistebnice and 15 km north-east of the town Milevsko and about 20 km north-west of the town Tábor.
On the top there are a lot of rock formations with the so-called rock dishes. The legend says, that the devil, who carried the stone weight in order to throw it down here, imprinted his hoofs here. There were nice views of the country around Jistebnice, but they are hidden behind trees in present.
The peak is accessible along the yellow marked path from the village Nadějkov (about 5 km) or along the red sign from Jistebnice (about 7 km).
