The small river called Blanice drains the region of the town Mladá Vožice. It joins the Sázava river from the left side in Central Bohemia near the village Český Šternberk.
Blanice springs on the north-eastern slope of Batkovy hill (724 m) about 8 km south of Mladá Vožice, 695 m a.s.l. It runs through the town and then it leaves South Bohemia in the northern direction.
The Blanice river is 62 km long (12 km in South Bohemia). The yellow marked path leads along the river between Mladá Vožice and the Šelmberk castle in the South Bohemian part.
