The place called Locus Perennis (Eternal Point) lies in the wood, left of the road from the small town Lišov to the town České Budějovice, in the former pit. There is a stone pyramid with the Latin inscription Locus Perennis. It was one of seven basic height points of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire and it is often incorrectly considered to be the centre of Europe. The altitude of this place is 565.1483 m a.s.l. by an original mensuration system - above the sea level in Trieste (Italy).
The pyramid is a protected technical monument.
