The Hubenov Dam lies about 20 km east of the town Pelhřimov. It is near the road from Pelhřimov to the town Jihlava in the vicinity of the village Hubenov.
The dam was built on the Maršovský Potok (Maršov Stream) about 10 km west of Jihlava in 1971. The water reservoir, which takes in the Jedlovský Potok (Jedlov Stream) and the Jiřínský Potok (Jiřín Stream), is used as a source of drinkable water.
The revetment is 23 m high and 320 m long. It holds the water area 47.5 ha large and about 2 km long. The reservoir has the maximal depth 19 m and it contains 3.38 million cubic metres of water.
The reservoir and its banks are a protected area around the water source and the access is not allowed there.
