Bezdrev pond is the second largest pond in South Bohemia. Its dam breaks the Netolický Potok (Netolice Stream) not far from the hunters' chateau Ohrada near the small town Hluboká nad Vltavou.
The pond was founded before 1490 by Vilém of Pernštejn, the important designer of ponds in the area around the town Pardubice.
The dam is nearly 400 m long, its perimeter is about 18.5 km and its area is 520 ha. The maximal depth is 7 m. Bezdrev is used for recreation and fish farming.
