In January 1945 the retroceded Nazis from the Soviet Army evacuated the exterminating camp in the town Oświęcim (Poland). The Nazis transported inmates into the camp in the town Mauthausen (Germany) in open cargo trucks. A lot of people died during this way for hypothermia. Over 100 people died just in the part between the villages Horní Dvořiště and Omlenice. The victims were buried into common graves in Omlenice and in Horní Dvořiště after 25th January 1945.
