The small village Nicov lies about 5 km south-east of the small town Kašperské Hory, 894 m a.s.l.
The first mention of the village dates back to 1295. Originally it was a property of the monastery in the village Ostrov, later it was under the ownership of the Kašperk castle (from 1420). At the end of the 16th century the town Kašperské Hory bought this settlement.
The most valuable sight in the village is the Late-Romanesque St. Martin's Church from the first quarter of the 13th century. The interesting church was reconstructed in the Baroque style in the 17th century. The single-aisled church has a prismatic tower and its western frontage is slated (covered by slate).
Only the Romanesque font has been preserved from the original furnishings.
The Baroque rectory with the mansard roof is situated opposite the church.
Královský Kámen mountain (Royal Stone) towers above Nicov.
