The fortress Sudkův Důl (Sudek's Pit) is situated in the settlement of the same name about 5 km north-west of the small town Černovice in the nature park called Josafatské Údolí (Josafat Valley).
Originally it was a water fortress founded in the 15th century by Jan Sudek. The areal comprised two-storeyed residential tower surrounded by farm buildings. At the end of the 16th century the domain was bought by Zdeněk Malovec from Malovice and the fortress was abandoned. Later it was rebuilt into a granary and it served for grain storing till the 20th century.
