The Klokočín fortress lies in the neighbourhood of the village of the same name about 4 km north-west of the town Protivín on the Blanice river.

The fortress originated from the 15th century. It was rebuilt several times through years and it served for various purposes. In the 20th century it was nearly destroyed.
Nowadays it is a private property.
