The ruins of the Kladruby fortress are situated on the outskirts of the village of the same name about 5 km west of the village Katovice.
The history of the village dates back to the 15th century. The fortress was probably founded at that time. In 1598 the fortress was mentioned as abandoned - it was a part of the property of the Střela chateau.
The village became a centre of the new domain in the 18th century.
The remains of the fortress and the surroundings were romantically modified in past. Only a part of the walls of residential building have been preserved up till present. Other parts were modified and rebuilt into many various shapes (mister and mistress, dragon etc.).
